McCain bonds with `Jersey Shore` Snooki over tan tax

US President Barack Obama`s former rival John McCain has joined forces with reality TV starlet Nicole Polizzi, a.k.a `Snooki` to protest the raised taxes on tanning beds.

The star of the superhit reality TV show `Jersey Shore` complained that Obama seems to have upped the tan tax to rile the self styled `guidos` and `guidettes` of the show who live by the GTL rule, ie gym, tan and laundry. "I don`t go tanning-tanning anymore because Obama put a 10 percent tax on tanning ... And I feel like he did that intentionally for us," tweeted the 23-year-old Snooki who was famously punched out by a guy after a drunken brawl during the first season of the show. Senator McCain immediately tweeted her, writing, "U r right, I would never tax your tanning bed! Pres Obama`s tax/spend policy is quite The Situation. but I do rec wearing sunscreen (sic)." The MTV show which follows a group of partying youngsters, debuted amid large amounts of controversy in late 2009 over the portrayals of Italian-American stereotypes and scrutiny from locals because the cast members` wild behaviour.
