I feel more confident now: `Star Ya…` winner Mansi Parekh

Mansi Parekh has been crowned the winner of Zee TV`s singing reality show `Star Ya Rockstar`.

New Delhi: Mansi Parekh has been crowned the winner of Zee TV`s singing reality show `Star Ya Rockstar` and the television actress says after months of hard work, she feels more confident about herself.
"The entire feeling is amazing. It feels really good that my months of hard work and dedication have paid off," Mansi told reporters. "This show happened to me at the right time. After wrapping up `Gulal`, I was itching to do a different show. It was very challenging and the show brought out a different aspect personality of my personality which was not previously revealed. "Now I see myself as a better performer and have developed more confidence and trust in myself," she added. Hosted by Mona Singh, `Star Ya Rockstar` started off with nine renowned TV celebrities - Ragini Khanna, Neha Marda, Vikas Bhalla, Sumeet Raghavan, Manish Paul, Chhavi Mittal, Manasi, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Debina Bonnerjee and Kapil Sharma. Out of these, Sachin, Kapil and Mansi made to the top three. The show was judged by Anu Malik and Alisha Chinai. The actress, best known for her performance as Chandni in TV show "India Calling", admits she has enjoyed each and every moment on stage as a performer. "I was under pressure during my rehearsals but once I used to get on stage I used to let off all my inhibitions and have fun. My sole aim was to just entertain people sitting in front of me," said Mansi, who is a trained classical singer. "This show has taught me to stay grounded. If you are praised don`t let it go over your head as the next time you might get panned. Both Anu (Malik) and Alisha Chinai have been very fair in their judgment," she added. Mansi says after her stint in the reality show a lot of opportunities have opened up for her. "A whole lot of newer opportunities are coming my way. I have been receiving offers for love shows. It feels really nice to see that people have started considering me as a singer also. I have also been approached to be a part of a musical play," she said. Tamil superstar Dhanush, who became a nationwide rage with his song "Kolavei Di", graced the grand finale with the song`s composer Aniruddh, as the special guest. The guest list of the finale included several other celebrity guests including Mithun Chakraborty, music composers Vishal-Shekhar, `Dance India Dance` judges Geeta Kapoor, Remo D`Souza, Terence Lewis, singers Master Saleem, Hardeep Kaur and comedians Rajeev-Saloni.
