Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Tuesday stayed the framing of any further charges against Bollywood’s tainted star Shiney Ahuja, who is embroiled in the case of alleged rape of his domestic help. The HC, in its statement, said that the staying of charges against the actor was purely on technical grounds. Meanwhile, Shiney, who arrived at New Dehli from Mumbai after being granted bail by Bombay HC in the same case, reported before the Nodia sector-20 police station on Tuesday. The 36-year-old actor, who served 110 days in prison, has been ordered by the court to stay away from Mumbai till the trial begins. Ahuja was granted bail by Justice AP Deshpande of Bombay High Court on October 1 on a surety of Rs 50,000 cash with a condition that he would stay in Delhi and report to the nearest police station regularly. The actor will be going back to Mumbai on October 7 for the trial.
