John Abraham will surprise in `Force`: Allan Amin

Mumbai: Action director Allan Amin says he has extracted hard work from John Abraham in the upcoming film `Force`, where the actor will be seen performing some breathtaking action scenes without the use of body double and cables.
Abraham has a image of a Casanova onscreen but Amin, who has worked with the actor in `Dhoom` earlier, says the film will launch the actor as an action hero. "I have worked with John in `Dhoom` and his much improved body has led me to portray him in Bollywood`s first realistic action film without the use of cables. He has done all the actions fabulously. "John`s toned and strong body is apt for the film. Though I feel it is not important to have abs to do action but if the actor has it there is nothing bad in it. It increases the visual appeal," Amin told PTI. The action director, who started his career with Southern films and made his Bollywood debut with `Bekhudi` is the man behind the sleek action in films like `Dhoom 2` and `Singh is Kinng`. `Force` will see Abraham lifting a 150 kilogram bike, jumping from a 150 feet high cliff onto an air bag and climbing up a speeding train. "John will be seen doing action scenes which he hasn`t done before. Unlike the usual trend of hiring stuntmen and using cables for all the tough stunts, he has done it all by himself. It`s all real," Amin said. Amin, son of stunt director Abdul Gani who had directed stunts in the film of 1960s and 1970s, feels that action genre is a rage these days in Bollywood because all the superstars are doing it. "In the industry, everything evolves as a trend when our superstars - Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan - do it. It`s just a phase and will last till the audience like it," he said. Amin has earlier hosted a stunt-based reality show `Stunt Mania` and shortly he will be judging another action-based reality show called `Jaanbaaz` alongside Sunny Deol. "I have also designed the action for this show and I am excited to judge the show with Bollywood`s one of the best action heroes Sunny Deol," he said. His next Bollywood project is Abhishek Bachchan-Bipasha Basu starrer `Players` - a remake of `The Italian Job`, a heist film which has a huge action set-up. PTI
