Brave the rains; follow fashionistas trends. It’s raining cats and dogs, I am running around under my umbrella, looking for a raincoat perhaps. Everything from my hair to my clothes is a mess. Frustrated, I say to myself “I hate rains!” My fashion woes are shared by all of us alike (the girls at least). It amazes me when I see the fashionistas all prim and proper, not even a single strand of hair is out of place. So I press my SOS button and ask them to rescue me. Here is the Sri Lankan’s beauty’s secret: “You need to keep your skin hydrated so have plenty of water. Avoid fried, just have lot of veggies and juice to make your skin glow Just wear light make up. I prefer a lip gloss and a kajal while going out” Mughdha Godse (Actress) Water-free mascara is a rule for the diva. Known for her style and high fashion sense, the ‘Fashion’ actor reveals her monsoon fashion fundas: “Wear shorts and slippers. That is what I love to wear. As far as the make up goes, wear water-free mascara and yes clothes which dry up easily.’ Pia Trivedi (Model and Anchor) Pia has been in this industry for quite some long time and knows the ins and outs of glamour world. She stresses on simplicity in monsoons. “Don’t wear white. If you have to wear make up wear it waterproof. The simpler the better. Personally I like three fourths and the clothes which don’t trail down.” Joey Mathews (Model) “Don’t wear make up”, suggests the diva. “No foundation please else it will make your skin patchy. If you have to wear light foundation and use a face powder to give it a matt look. Regarding lipsticks and eye shadows, wear bright colours to perk up the face. And of course, for your hair, do apply some antifizz product. Personally I use eight hour cream by Elizabeth Arden for lips,” says the perky model. Krishna Somani (Model) For this svelte damsel, monsoon means colours as she says, “Monsoons are all about colours for me. It gives a light fresh look. Keep the make up minimalistic… a concealer and blush on is sufficient. In fact there is no need to put a foundation or base powder.”
