‘Toonpur Ka Superhero’ as good as any Hollywood film: Ajay

Actor-producer Ajay Devgn believes that his home production ‘Toonpur Ka Superhero’ is technically as advanced as any Hollywood film. Directed by Kireet Khurana, the film is being promoted as India’s first 3-D animation film. Ajay plays a superhero in the film which is slated to release this Christmas.As a producer, the two time National Award winning actor has always made films which have “out of the box” concepts.

Mumbai: Actor-producer Ajay Devgn believes that his home production ‘Toonpur Ka Superhero’ is technically as advanced as any Hollywood film. Directed by Kireet Khurana, the film is being promoted as India’s first 3-D animation film. Ajay plays a superhero in the film which is slated to release this Christmas. Talking to reporters about the film, the actor said, “‘Toonpur Ka Superhero’ is technically as advanced as any other top line film in Hollywood. We have made sure that the film opens a new chapter in animation industry in India and shows the world the technical craft and expertise that Bollywood has achieved over the years." As a producer, the two time National Award winning actor has always made films which have “out of the box” concepts. His films, ‘Raju Chacha’, ‘U, Me Aur Hum’, ‘All The Best: Fun Begins’ have done relatively well. Now its time for India’s first live action - 3D animation combination feature film to hit the screens. And to give stiff competition to Ajay’s Hollywood styled ‘Toonpur Ka Superhero’ is Akshay starrer ‘Tees Maar Khan’ which is due for release this week. Now, whether or not Ajay’s technically advanced film of Hollywood standards manages to impress Bollywood fans is something we’ll have to wait and watch.
