New Delhi: A day after the Supreme court was informed that liquor baron Mallya has already left the country –probably to UK –he has actually been hunted down there, media reports say.

Vijay Mallya has been tracked to his country house in Tiwen village, on the outskirts of London.

His country home, named Ladywalk,  spread over thirty acres, is the biggest bungalow on Queen Hoo road.

A few media reports said that the guards at the country home initially affirmed Mallya's presence there, but later refused sensing media presence.

Mallya, who is facing legal proceedings for allegedly defaulting loans of over Rs 9,000 crores from various banks, has left the country a week back, government yesterday informed the Supreme Court.

The bench issued notice to Mallya and sought his response within two weeks on pleas filed by a consortium of banks seeking direction for freezing his passport and his presence before the apex court.

Mallya has at least two houses London –one estate in Tewin and the other in the posh Baker Street, which is just behind the famous Madame Tussauds' wax museum.

Some media reports, quoting the locals also said that they know whenever Mallya is around –thanks to his swanky cars and his high-class lifestyle.
