WD-40 ties up with Atul for selling aerosol products in India

Hyderabad: World's largest selling Maintenance Aerosol Brand, WD-40, has announced its exclusive alliance with Lalbhai group's Atul Ltd for sales and distribution in India.
     
WD-40 is available in over 160 countries globally and the company has annual sales of over USD 300 million, a press release said here Saturday.
     
The maintenance aerosol spray market in India is estimated at Rs 20-25 crore and growing at 20 percent per annum with WD-40 being the clear market leader with around 50 percent market share.

Rajesh Bhasin, president-Polymer Division of Atul said, "WD-40 is the undisputed market leader in the aerosol maintenance category in India and we plan to consider this position by utilising our sales infrastructure."
     
Philip Tweed, regional director, WD-40 Asia said it was amazing that over 2000 uses for the product have been recorded across industry, automotive and household. In the USA virtually every household uses this product and in future the company would introduce WD-40 into the household segment in India.
      
The aerosol products help in lubricating, cleaning, inhibiting rust. It attracts good demand from sectors like manufacturing, textiles, marine, aviation among others.
