Mumbai: Bollywood’s most eligible bachelor Salman Khan is finally set to move out of his comfort zone, for the actor is all set to play a middle-class, middle-aged widower and father of two in Mahesh Manjrekar’s upcoming directorial venture. Salman, who is famous for his macho-guy image, is all set to shock his fans with his family man avatar in ‘Ready’, Manjrekar’s Hindi adaptation of super-hit Marathi flick ‘Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho.’ News has it that Salman will be piling on kilos as per the requirement of the role. On the other hand, Manjrekar will reportedly be playing Salman’s father in the much-awaited flick. Manjrekar`s film is about an adolescent, who loves to play cricket rather than studying, something which Salman immediately liked. Talking to a news daily, a source said, "Like the boy in Manjrekar`s film, Salman shared a volatile relationship with his father Salim Khan. He has also spoken of the way he was beaten as a child, and his hatred of formal education." Confirming the news, Manjrekar said, "Yes, Salman saw the Marathi film and loved it. He has never attempted something this middle-class before. This film will open a whole new fan following for Salman. He has played the cool dude to perfection. Now, it`s time to play a not-so-cool dad." Well, it seems Salman is in the experimental mood, for the actor plays an arrogant cop in ‘Dabangg’ and will be seen in an all new avatar in Mahesh Manjrekar’s ‘Ready’.
