Chris Brown to duet with Rihanna on `American Idol`?

Los Angeles: Hip hop star Chris Brown may be reuniting with former girlfriend Rihanna for a performance on `American Idol`. The pair will perform live at the show which has had to suffer its worst ratings in history, reported a website.

"They want Chris and Rihanna to reunite on the show. If they were to duet on Idol, it would be their first public appearance together, let alone their first live collaboration, since early 2009, when Brown was arrested for assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna," a source said. Brown and Rihanna have been spending a lot of time together recently, with them both appearing on each other`s songs, Rihanna`s `Birthday Cake` and Brown`s `Turn Up the Music`. In 2009, Brown pleaded guilty to assaulting Rihanna and was sentenced to five years` probation. Rihanna`s representative has already denied the rumour. Brown recently was spotted snatching a fan`s USD 500 cell phone and driving off with it after she tried to snap a photograph of him. The fan is pressing charges which may send Brown to jail for up to four years. PTI
