Mumbai`s Dum Pukht rated among top Asian restaurants

Mumbai`s Dum Pukht is among the top 20 best Asian restaurants.

Singapore: Mumbai`s Dum Pukht is among the top 20 best Asian restaurants listed by The Miele Guide, the Singapore-based Asian guide to the region`s top restaurant.
Dum Pukht, which has the "slow oven" style cooking of the Nawabs of Awadh, made its debut by being placed at 17th position. It joined Bukhara of New Delhi, which though was rated 14, slipping from its previous 11th position, and was the only two Indian restaurants on the list. The restaurant ratings was released at the Grand Hyatt of Macau yesterday at an event attended by some of Asia`s most celebrated chefs and restaurateurs as well as international food critics and journalists. The Miele Guide 2010/2011 fetes of Asia`s top 20 restaurants was held first time outside Singapore by its owners Ate Media, a media consultancy and publishing company. Singapore restaurant Iggy`s topped the list, followed by L`Atelier de Joel Robuchon of Hong Kong. Third was Macau-based Robuchon a Galera, followed by Jaan (Singapore), Antonio`s (Cavite, Philippines), Mozaic (Bali, Indonesia), Zuma (Hong Kong), Cilantro Restaurant&Wine Bar (Kuala Lumpur). Others in the ranking were:`Atelier de Joel Robuchon (Tokyo), Caprice (Hong Kong), Les Amis (Singapore), Yung Kee (Hong Kong), Gunther`s Modern French Cuisine (Singapore), Tippling Club (Singapore), Nobu (Hong Kong), Ku De Ta (Bali, Indonesia), Bo Innovation (Hong Kong) and Beijing Da Dong Roast Duck Restaurant (Beijing). This year`s edition of The Miele Guide features 450 restaurants in 17 countries. PTI
