Mumbai: Post the Box Office success of ‘Rock On!!,’ the fortunes of Arjun Rampal saw a complete change, for the actor apparently landed a spate of plum projects and adulation from all corners.Despite the upward swing in his fortunes, Arjun Rampal is yet to prove himself as a solo lead, for his Bollywood success is attributed to multi-starrer flicks like ‘Don’, ‘Om Shanti Om’ and the upcoming ‘Housefull’ and ‘Raajneeti.’
In ‘Housefull’, Arjun shares screen space with Akshay Kumar and Ritiesh Deshmukh and in ‘Raajneeti’, the actor will be seen alongside Nana Patekar, Ranbir Kapoor and Manoj Bajpai.
Even in Bollywood version of ‘Stepmom’, Arjun is set to act with Kareena and Kajol.
When enquired, the model-turned-actor talked to a news daily about his inclination towards multi-starrer projects. Arjun said, "I guess actors of today`s generation have grown out of that stage. Tell me, how many solo-starrers are being made today in any case? People want entertainment as a complete package and stories too have evolved to incorporate actors playing different characters rather than heroes. I don`t think any actor would feel insecure about the presence of other actors. Clichéd as it may sound but another actor in your film should never be looked at as competition. One should just observe whether your co-star comes with the required talent or not. If he/she does, then learn from that."
Arjun Rampal’s much-awaited releases include Prakash Jha’s ‘Raajneeti’ and Sajid Khan’s ‘Housefull.’
