New Delhi: Taking the probe further, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is looking into whether some influential politicians used pressure tactics to force public sector banks (PSBs) into lending and restructuring loans now defunct Kingfisher Airlines, as per a Times of India report.

The report claims that the CBI sources have confessed that the role of "political pressure" would be the focus of their probe into cases involving the liquor baron.

The CBI is aggressively looking into the real players who drove the decision of IDBI bank to offer loan  of Rs 900 crore to Kingfisher Airlines even though the airline was below credit rating and auditors warned about its poor fiscal health.
