Bappi Lahiri pays tribute to MJ, releases 2 singles

Bollywood `Disco King` Bappi Lahiri released two singles composed in the honour of `King of Pop` Michael Jackson to mark his first death anniversary.

Mumbai: Bollywood `Disco King` Bappi Lahiri released two singles composed in the honour of `King of Pop` Michael Jackson to mark his first death anniversary.
Lahiri in association with MusicBizPro anounced the worldwide digital release of the tracks, "Don`t Say Goodbye" and "Michael O` Michael" (a remix). The songs feature vocals from Jackson`s very own backup singers Ricky Nelson, Terry Young and Glenda. Bappi has pledged to donate royalty earned from the tracks to the underprivileged children in Maharashtra. The two songs are a tribute from Lahiri, who was personally associated with Michael and remains in constant touch with the Jackson family. Michael`s brothers Jackie and Randy, were present to extend their best wishes to Lahiri during the pre-release event in Los Angeles, US. Lahiri, who is a huge fan of the `Thriller` hitmaker first met Michael during pop icons`s performance here in 1996. Lahiri also flew to Los Angeles for Jackson`s memorial service. The tracks have been released digitally worldwide and will be available on all major web portals. PTI
