Sophi Monk parts ways with French millionaire Jimmy Esebag

Melbourne: Sophi Monk is apparently no longer engaged to her fiance, US-based French millionaire Jimmy Esebag.

The news came from American talk show host Chelsea Handler. 31-year-old Monk flew in to Australia from LA 10 days ago to reportedly spill the beans on why she has split with the American-based businessman less than two months after becoming engaged. Monk told Handler she was no longer engaged, was single and thinking of becoming a “Sam Ronson,” reports a daily. Although 20 years apart, Monk had said Esebag was her "soul mate" and a "male version" of herself. The two had a whirlwind three-month romance before they decided to get married. Monk also said he had given her a "new perspective on life" and that the unlikely pair had been friends before they became lovers. "He’s a keeper. He balances me. This is me changing and being ready for it . . . I’m relaxing and enjoying the moment," she had said. Monk appears on the Chelsea Lately show Tuesday March 8th, 10.30pm on E!, Channel 121 on Foxtel and Austar. ANI
