Being famous was not Zellweger`s ambition

New York: Actress Renee Zellweger, whose name has been inducted in the Texas Film Hall of Fame, never planned to be famous and says she felt lucky to be a "glorified extra" on the sets of her first film "Dazed and Confused"."I have never had those thoughts before," people.com quoted Zellweger as saying before being inducted into the Texas Film Hall of Fame at the awards ceremony hosted by the Austin Film Society. "I moved to LA because I just ran out of things to do."

The Texas-born star entered Hollywood with a miniscule role in Richard Linklater`s "Dazed and Confused". "I felt really lucky to be a glorified extra (in `Dazed and Confused`). I learnt so much about how a film set works and how it breaks down into different departments and what your responsibilities are as a performer when you are participating in a collaborative effort," Zellweger said.
