Mumbai: After all the hype and hoopla, Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘RA. One’ finally released on 26th October 2011, the day India celebrated Diwali. For all those who are thinking that SRK’s tour de force ‘RA.One’ dethroned Salman Khan’s ‘Bodyguard’ in its opening day collections, here’s some news. Apparently, despite the extensive promotional campaign by King Khan, ‘Ra.One’ just managed to make Rs 15.50 – 16 crore in all-India on its opening day in comparison to ‘Bodyguard’, which raked in Rs 21 crore on its opening day. It is believed that the dubbed Telegu and Tamil version of ‘RA.One’ will add Rs 1-2 crore to the day one collections of the film. The reason behind the low collections of ‘RA.One’ can be the festive season of Diwali, were people preferred staying home and celebrating the festival of lights with their family and friends. As of now, Salman Khan’s ‘Bodyguard’ is still ahead of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘RA.One’ in terms of the opening day Box Office collections.
