Mumbai: Contrary to rumours that daubed Priyanka Chopra as the latest muse of ‘Kaminey’ director Vishal Bhardwaj, buzz has it that Vishal’s latest inspiration is none other than Deepika Padukone. News has it that Vishal has just signed Deepika Padukone for his upcoming flick opposite Saif Ali Khan. The untitled flick will be produced by TV mogul Ekta Kapoor and is scheduled to be released early next year. Apparently, the news comes as a shocker to many, especially for the fans of Priyanka Chopra, who used to be a permanent fixture in Vishal`s talks. It seems Vishal has taken everyone by surprise - including Priyanka. Talking to a news daily, a source said, "There were reports that said Vishal had already signed Priyanka after he was impressed with her work in ‘Kaminey’ and ‘Saat Khoon Maaf.’ But Vishal has secretly been meeting Deepika in the meantime and has finally signed her for his next film, which will have Saif Ali Khan play the lead role opposite her." When contacted Deepika, the actress said, "All I can say is that I am working with Vishal. I have already met him a couple of times and he loved my work in ‘Love Aaj Kal’ and ‘Karthik Calling Karthik.’ He told me that ever since he watched these films, he has been writing this script keeping me in mind. It`s a dream come true for me and I always wanted to work with him, especially because he is considered one of the best directors in the country today. We all know he is extremely talented and I am looking forward to working with him." When enquired how she feels about romancing Saif once again on the silver screen, Deepika quipped, "I never asked Vishal who the actor in the film would be. I am too excited to just work with him. We start the film early next year."
