Fewer metro trains to Dilshad Garden today
New Delhi: Delhi Metro will run fewer services on Saturday between Dilshad Garden and Tis Hazari metro stations for nearly six hours due to maintenance work, an official said Friday.

"The frequency of train services between Dilshad Garden and Tis Hazari Metro stations on the Dilshad Gardern to Rithala (Line 1) corridor, will be 10 to 15 minutes between 10.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. while the rest of the section between Rithala and Tis Hazari will remain normal," a Delhi Metro statement said.

The maintenance work will affect eight metro stations - Dilshad Garden, Jhilmil, Mansarovar Park, Shahdara, Welcome, Seelampur, Shastri Park and Kashmere Gate.

"After undertaking the scheduled maintenance work, the normal frequency will be restored on the stretch at 3:30 p.m," the statement said.

Delhi Metro operates over 2,700 trips a day, covering about 70,000 km and carrying around 1.8 million passengers on weekdays.
