London: ‘The Voyage of the Dawn Treader’— the latest instalment in the Chronicles of Narnia series has been chosen for this year`s Royal Film Performance.
The world premiere of the film will be first Royal performance shown in 3D. The movie is based on CS Lewis`s book, featuring actors Liam Neeson and Ben Barnes reprising their roles as Aslan the lion and King Caspian. The gala event will be held in London in late November. It has not yet been announced which members of the Royal Family will attend the premiere. Money raised from the screening will go to The Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund (CTBF), which provides care and financial support to film and TV industry employees and their families who fall on hard times. "We are thrilled to be able to host the royal and world premiere of this highly anticipated film which looks set to enchant audiences across the World," the BBC quoted CTBF chief executive Brian Robertson as saying. ‘The Voyage of the Dawn Treader’ follows Edmund and Lucy Pevensie, along with their cousin Eustace, King Caspian and a warrior mouse named Reepicheep, as they find themselves swallowed into a painting and onto the Narnian ship.
