London: An informal study on the most hated names has revealed that Jayden, which happens to be the name of Britney Spears` youngest son, is the most hated in America.
Proving the adage ‘popularity often also brings backlash,’ the next three entries after Jayden are of-shoot rhyming names like Brayden, Aiden and Kayden, reports the Daily Mail.
Contrastingly, names which are not familiar also feature among the top ten hated names. Neveah, heaven spelled backwards found a top spot.
The survey also concluded that people hate gender-bending names, particularly when a masculine becomes a feminine as in for Madison and Addison.
Among girls, a spate of Mc names like Mackenzie, McKenna and Makayla sparked annoyance and made it to the top ten.
The survey has been conducted by Laura Wattenberg, author of The Baby Name Wizard: A Magical Method for Finding the Perfect Name for Your Baby.
