Mumbai: Who would like to alienate actor Aamir Khan, who is currently reigning Bollywood, owing to the super success of ‘3 Idiots’! Even the HRD ministry is bowing before him so that he reconsiders his decision to quit the copyright panel after his famous face-off with Javed Akhtar over actor versus lyricist debate. According to reports, Union HRD Ministry headed by Kapil Sibal wants him to come on the committee again and take back his resignation. “We hope Aamir will be there for the next meeting of the copyright panel,” said Sibal. But it remains to be seen whether Aamir Khan, who is fuming over the questioning of his honesty and integrity by members of copyright panel, would agree to rejoin the panel or not. The committee was formed to recommend changes in the present law to ensure that lyricists and music directors as also the writers get their royalties for their creativity, but things took an ugly turn when Javed Akhtar referred to Chetan Bhagat’s controversy about ‘3 Idiots’ and reprimanded Aamir. Aamir Khan took the debate as an insult and sent his emotionally charged resignation letter stating that he values integrity more than money. The face-off between the stalwarts was to be kept under wraps but it came out in the open leading to a huge furore over the debate. Although Union Minister Kapil Sibal is keenly mediating the row, there is fat chance that hurt Aamir will rejoin the panel.
