Filmmaker Satish Kaushik, music director Anu Malik patch up

The legal battle between filmmaker Satish Kaushik and music director Anu Malik is over and they have patched up.

Mumbai, April 29: The legal battle between filmmaker Satish Kaushik and music director Anu Malik is over and they have patched up. The latter had sent a notice to the filmmaker for using songs by other composers in "Tere Sang" in which he was signed on as the composer.Malik had demanded that all and not just part of his music score be removed from the film. But Kaushik felt that was impossible. The notice has now been revoked.
"I had shot the two Anu Malik songs at a huge expense and they`re integral to the story. There was no way I could remove them. Anyway Anu called from London and we both got very emotional talking about all the good times and fabulous tunes we shared in the past," Kaushik said. Malik has now agreed to let Kaushik retain the two songs in "Tere Sang". "I`ll be thanking Anu and his talented daughter Anmol in the credits titles of `Tere Sang`. Beyond that Anu doesn`t want his name to appear in any of the film`s publicity. I respect his wishes and will definitely do what he wants," said Kaushik. Speaking about Anmol, Satish said: "She`s a very talented girl and bound to go very far. I`d like to work with her again at the first given opportunity." Teen pregnancy is the theme of Satish`s `Tere Sang". In the film, the 17-year-old hero, played by Ruslaan Mumtaaz, gets his 15-year-old girlfriend (Sheena Shahabadi) pregnant. The girl refuses to abort the baby. IANS
