Gillard`s fashion choices trigger debate in Oz

Julia`s fashion sense has sparked off a debate among the nation`s most stylish.

Melbourne: Australian Premier Julia Gillard`s fashion sense has sparked off a heated debate among the nation`s most stylish.
Topping the list is a patterned coat Gillard sported on a visit to a Queanbeyan shopping centre during her first week as the Prime Minister. And this coat - which one Melbourne stylist said looked like "a cheap motel bedspread" - isn`t in any way cheap. The double-breasted piece is available at high-end Sydney store Library for a good 1250dollars, reports a news daily. It`s just one of a swag of items Gillard recently purchased from the Phillip St boutique, which custom-tailors suits for its high-profile clients. Library also exclusively stocks French designer label Anne Fontaine. It`s believed Gillard bought 12 suits and a selection of shirts from the store - an impressive shopping spree, considering she receives no clothing allowance. ANI
