Smita Bansal, who is a contestant on the fourth season of `Khatron Ke Khiladi`, says she wanted to get over her "soft" image.

Jaipur: TV actress Smita Bansal, who is a contestant on the fourth season of `Khatron Ke Khiladi`, says she wanted to get over her "soft" image by participating in the adventure reality show.
The actress, who shot to fame with the hit daily soap `Balika Vadhu`, said she did not want to let go an opportunity to win over her fears. "I used to watch such exciting programmes but always thought that I can`t do this because I am not that kind of girl. But at a point of time, I realized that I should try it, doesn`t matter what the results are," said Smita. "I am scared of almost everything from water, fire, height and reptiles, but particular stunts related with water were most scary. However, I did not fail to perform and now I am more confident," she added. Smita said they had to brave harsh weather conditions to perform tasks. "We did tasks that tested our physical and emotional endurance level against the wild backdrop and dangerous conditions of Cape Town in South Africa," she said. "It has been a great experience for me as it was completely different from what I usually do. I have managed to get over a lot of my fears and I overcame my phobia of water," she added. Another contestant VJ Bani, a former participant of MTV Roadies, said that Khatron... was different and more difficult. "Khatron was very hardcore as compared to Roadies, where emotional blackmail, politics are some factors. But the only element in KKK was danger," she said. Both the contestants said that working with host Akshay Kumar was a real delight who became their main strength and support. Bani said that the viewers will see much more danger and stunts in the new season of the show which will go on air on Colors on June 3. Bansal is teamed with Saurabh Roy and Bani will be supporting Amit Mehra. The other contestants of this season are model Diandra Soares, VJ Mia Uyeda, Mauli Dave, Kashmira Shah, Sambhavna Seth, Dina Singh, Aliesia Raut, Aasha Goradia, Poonam Pandey, Anjum Chopra and Aarti Chabaria.
