Amy Winehouse’s father returning charity cheques

Mitch had announced his intentions to set up the rehabilitation clinic last July to help young people struggling with drink and drug addictions.

London: The Amy Winehouse Foundation has received another setback - the deceased singer`s father Mitch has been forced to return donations intended for a facility after facing registration issues.
Mitch had announced his intentions to set up the rehabilitation clinic last July to help young people struggling with drink and drug addictions. But he had to delay his plans because the foundation name has already been registered as an official company by somebody else - and he is being forced to return the cheques, reported Daily Star. "We all have to bombard the tabloids websites to put pressure on this those who stole our foundation name. "Instead of concentrating on allocating funding I am having to send cheques back cos (because) we haven`t got (a) bank ac (account) in that name. "Our solicitors are all over this, but it takes time. Meanwhile we can`t get on with (the) foundation," tweeted Mitch. The `Rehab` hitmaker, who was battling substance abuse for a long time, was found dead at her home in London on July 23. PTI
