Anoushka is back in the studio after giving birth to her first child, a son named Zubin, and has signed a deal with Deutsche Grammophon to release her album `Traveller`.

New Delhi: Grammy nominated sitarist Anoushka Shankar is back in the studio after giving birth to her first child, a son named Zubin, and has signed a deal with Deutsche Grammophon to release her album `Traveller`.
Anoushka has amalgamated flamenco and Indian music in the record which will be her seventh solo album and will start a international tour this year to promote it. "I look forward to this new opportunity to explore and express the music I love. It means so much to me to be able to bring my work to a label that has presented some of my father`s most beautiful recordings," she said in a press statement. The 29-year-old daughter and disciple of world reknowned maestro Pandit Ravi Shankar now lives in London with British filmmaker husband Joe Wright and their three-month-old son. `Traveller` is produced by noted Spanish musician and producer Javier Limon and features renowned Indian and flamenco musicians. Following the album`s October 2011 release there will be a comprehensive tour of Europe, in November-December 2011, India in January 2012, as well as the US, in the spring 2012. PTI
