New Delhi: After his stint in `Big Boss 3`, model Pravesh Rana`s career seems to be touching new heights as he has been roped in to present the Commonwealth Games curtain raiser on Doordarshan.
"I feel proud that I have got the opportunity to be part of a sporting event as big as the Commonwealth Games," Rana told reporters. "One of the reasons why I also agreed to be part of this is that I am a sports enthusiast. I have played basketball at the national level," he added. "It is a privilege that I will get an opportunity to interact with retired athletes and even High Commission officials of various countries and polish my sports knowledge," the model said. Rana has had a successful career in modelling. He won the Mr. India title in 2008. However, he came to the limelight after his stint in "Big Boss 3". His mimicry on the show also made him popular among the audiences. After "Big Boss", Rana has been flooded with hosting offers. Previously seen in kids dance reality show "Chak Dhoom Dhoom", he has been roped in to host the second season of UTV Bindaas` "Emotional Atyachar". "Unlike other reality shows, "Emotional Atyachar" doesn`t have any script. You are just on your own and everything you speak is impromptu. Moreover, for a relationship to flourish, it is important to have a complete trust in your partner," Rana said. So how does he plan to deal with the emotional outbursts on the show? "Once a loyalty test is done, the results come out as a bit of shock. For any relationship to develop, it is necessary to trust your partner and when that trust breaks, it hurts," he said. "My word of advice to them (the participants) would only be that whatever has happened has happened for good and you can find a much better partner in future," he added. Rana admitted he is happy being a host and participating in reality shows. He said he was not inclined towards daily soaps at all. "You wouldn`t see me doing any daily soaps as I can`t relate to them. Reality shows help me to show my real self," he said. IANS
