Danny Huston ‘to star in new Robin Hood film’

‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ star Danny Huston has reportedly bagged a role in Ridley`s Scott`s new movie, based on the Robin Hood story.

London, July 14: ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ star Danny Huston has reportedly bagged a role in Ridley`s Scott`s new movie, based on the Robin Hood story.The actor is said to appear alongside Hollywood biggies Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett in the film, the BBC reports.
He might play the role of King Richard I in the film, opposite the ‘Gladiator’ star in the lead role as Robinhood while Blanchett dons the character of Maid Marian. The script of the film reportedly portrays Robin Hood in a less favorable light than normal and has been rewritten several times. The filming has been on for several months at different locations in UK. The movie, which was supposed to be out this year is now scheduled for release in 2010 since concerns over strike action by the Screen Actors` Guild, caused shooting to be delayed. Danny who played the role of William Stryker in ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ is the son of actor and Annie director John Huston and the half-brother to actress Angelica. Houston has also completed ‘Clash of the Titans’ opposite Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes. ANI
