Salman Khan gets in an ugly spat with Anees Bazmee

Mumbai: Bollywood’s enfant terrible Salman Khan had a heated argument with ‘Ready’ director Anees Bazmee, after which the latter deserted the Bangkok shoot midway and came back to Mumbai. Apparently, Salman had an ugly war of words with Anees Bazmee and the director did what few filmmakers have been known to do – walking out of the shoot. It is believed that choreographer Raju Khan is calling the shots on location. Talking to a daily, a source from the sets of ‘Ready’ said, “There was a huge argument between Salman and Anees. Salman had issues with Anees’s close associate Rajat Rawail, who is the co-producer of ‘Ready’. Anees tried to protect Rajat and this triggered an ugly fight, during which many of their other differences came up.” After the Salman-Anees faceoff, producer Bhushan Kumar is facing tough time in getting the director on board again. When contacted, Bhushan confirmed that Anees is not returning to Bangkok, “Why should Bazmee go back? Ek gaana hi toh shoot karna hai. Raju Khan is calling the shots. I am sure Anees will shoot the scenes that remain. We shall shoot those in Mumbai later, over a period of four days,” said the producer. Meanwhile, Anees Bazmee, who is busy with the post-production of ‘Thank You’ had a different story to tell. “We have finished all the action sequences and talkie portions of the film. We had a meeting about my departure and everything was planned before I left. I never do two films at the same time. This time, the dates clashed and led to the confusion. I am extremely proud of my work in ‘Ready’. The choreographer (Raju Khan) is shooting the song. There are no problems between Salman and me. I came back to Mumbai simply because I had to finish the mixing of ‘Thank You’,” said the director.
