New Delhi: Actor Shakti Kapoor`s daughter Shraddha charmed everyone with her innocence and grace as she walked the ramp for designer Anju Modi on the third day of the Synergy1 Delhi Couture Week Sunday evening.
Dressed in a voluminous golden and white gown, the actress immediately captivated the audience as she opened the show, unlike the usual appearance of Bollywood celebs at the end.
"I was a bit nervous initially but as I walked in, the excitement built up and everything just went with the flow. Moreover there were some family members from Delhi to support me and I am glad everything went well," said Shraddha.
Anju`s collection was called "Maya" and included a lot of angrakhas, saris, velvet jackets and lehengas in blue, ivory and maroon with elaborate embellishments and embroidery.
"There were 20 garments in total and I prepared the entire range in just 20 days which was next to impossible, especially when it comes to couture line. However, I am fortunate enough to have managed it and come up with a collection which received positive response from the audience," she said after the show.
Earlier, Karisma Kapoor was suppose to walk for Delhi-based designer but she backed out due to family commitments. Anju then pitched for Shraddha, feeling she was the perfect choice to represent her line.
"I was looking for someone who is not only fresh and elegant but also has an angel-like personality and Sharddha intuitively came into my mind. Within 24 hours, she was ready," Anju added.
