London: Troubled designer John Galliano has reportedly been asked to design women`s clothing and accessories for British chain Topshop by its owner Sir Philip Green.
Green wants the 50-year-old to create a range for them. Although nothing has been signed, discussions are said to be in the early stages. If the deal does come through, it will mark a huge turnaround for the designer who is going through a tough phase, reports femalefirst.co.uk. Galliano reportedly launched a verbal attack on a couple in a Paris cafe in February this year, and was fired as Dior`s creative director in March after a video showed him apparently drunk, telling a woman in a cafe he "loved Hitler".
