Miley Cyrus reveals reason behind Twitter exit

Washington: Actress Miley Cyrus has laid bare the reason behind deleting her Twitter account in a song. The ‘Hannah Montana’ star explained her decision to withdraw herself from the social media site in a new YouTube video amid speculation that she was influenced by Australian co-star Liam Hemsworth.

"Yeah, the rumors are true, I deleted my Twitter. I had to say goodbye and this little rap is to tell my fans why,” a magazine quoted her as saying in the song. The 16-year-old continued: "I want my private life private. I`m living for me." She added, "FYI Liam doesn`t have a Twitter and he wants ME to delete mine with good reason," she wrote at the time. Now, she clarifies in her song, "It wasn`t because my friend told me to. I stopped living for moments and started living for people." ANI
