Watch which Indian city ranks among world’s top 10 destinations on the rise

TripAdvisor has named a resort town on Mexico's Caribbean coast as the number one destination on the rise for 2016 in its global list. Tulum, famous for its Maya archaeological sites and its thriving food and cultural scene secured the top spot.

Other cities that have featured in the Travellers' Choice Destinations on the Rise are – Tulum in Mexico with over 74 percent rise in booking interest annually, followed by Cartagena in Colombia with over 49 percent, Porto in Portugal with over 39 percent, Gatlinburg in US with over 67 percent, Moscow in Russia with over 27 percent and Brighton in UK with over 60 percent booking interest.

New Delhi is the only Asian city listed in the top 10 global cities in TripAdvisor's 2016 travellers' choice destinations on the rise.
