We have focused on policy-driven governance, says PM Narendra Modi

New Delhi: Replying on motion of thanks to President's address in Rajya Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said we have focused on policy-driven governance and given an importance to transparency.

Key Highlights of PM address:

-We should aim to double the income of farmers by 2022.

-Our government is emphasising on doubling agriculture income & value addition, more productivity in agriculture.

-The biggest beneficiaries of MUDRA bank are SC/ST, OBC communities and women.

-Effective or last mile delivery is what we are working on.

-Decentralisation is the third aspect of good governance.

-We are focussing on accountability. I am reviewing infra projects & am seeing projects are stalled for decades.

-We have focussed on policy-driven governance and given an importance to transparency.

-We need to shift from incremental improvements to a quantum jump and that is what we are trying.

-Let us pass those bills passed in the Lok Sabha as soon as possible and give impetus to India's progress.
