Danes` `Homeland` role based on Osama-hunting CIA operative

London:Hollywood actress Claire Danes, who recently won an Emmy award for her role in hit TV series `Homeland`, has revealed her character is based on a real-life spy who played a key role in helping locate Osama bin Laden.
