New Delhi: As J-Jayalalithaa-led AIADMK registers a landslide victory in the recently conducted assembly polls, Sun TV Network, backed by DMK faces heat. The stock has spelled trouble for its investors after it plunged by more than 10 percent as poll results were declared.
The stock slumped around 13 percent, the lowest, since May 12.
At 3:40 pm on Thursday, the stock plunged by 13.44 percent.
Kalanithi Maran, chairman of Sun Group, is a family member of DMK party leader M Karunanidhi.
This is when Sun TV Network posted a nearly 52-week high after exit polls claimed a win for DMK.
