Rain meant there was no play before lunch on the fifth of the first Test between England and Sri Lanka.

Cardiff (UK): Rain meant there was no play before lunch on the fifth and final day of the first Test between England and Sri Lanka here today as the series opener headed for a draw.
The umpires opted to bring lunch forward to 12.30pm local time (1130GMT) in the hope of making a prompt start to the afternoon session.England were 491 for five in reply to Sri Lanka`s first innings 400, a lead of 91 runs. Ian Bell was 98 not out and Eoin Morgan unbeaten on 14 after Jonathan Trott had made 203 and Alastair Cook 133 on Sunday.This is the first of a three-match series, with the second Test at Lord`s due to start on Friday.
