Mumbai: Private insurer Bajaj Allianz General Insurance on Thursday launched Women Critical Illness Plan that covers eight major illnesses that women are prone to.

While with the advancement of science though many of the critical diseases are now treatable, however, such critical illnesses cause a major dent to a family's finances, he said.
"Since our existing Critical Illness plan did not cover some women-specific illnesses, the Woman Critical Illness Plan has been designed to address this need in particular. This plan not only helps her provide for the treatment of the critical illness but also secures her and her children?s future to some extent in case of loss of employment," he said.
