Bank of India Q3 net grows over 61% to Rs 653 cr

State-owned lender Bank of India (BOI) Friday reported 61.07 percent jump in its net profit at Rs 653.16 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2010.

New Delhi: State-owned lender Bank of India (BOI) Friday reported 61.07 percent jump in its net profit at Rs 653.16 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2010.
     
It had posted a net profit of Rs 405.5 crore in the year-ago period.
     
The bank's total income rose to Rs 5,115.76 crore during October-December, 2010 from Rs 5,057.83 crore in the comparable period of last year, Bank of India said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
     
For the first nine months of the current fiscal, BOI's net profit grew 51.92 percent to Rs 1,995.07 crore, from Rs 1,313.16 crore in the same period last fiscal, it added.
     
The state lender's shares are trading at Rs 450, up up 3.85 percent in the afternoon trade on the BSE.
