Mumbai: Actress Eesha Koppikhar Narang`s much delayed film `Shabri` is all set to release on August 26.
The film was completed long back but could not see the light of the day for almost four years due to a dispute between producer Ram Gopal Varma and distributors Adlabs. The film will be released by Reliance Big Pictures. "BANG!!! Do you have it in you to look into the eyes of a woman gangster?!! Meet Shabri! August 26th! In a theatre near you.? (sic)," Eesha said on micro-blogging site twitter. The 34-year-old actress, who plays the title role, will be seen in a deglamourised avatar in the film as her character has a very rustic look. The film is about Shabri, played by Eesha, who runs a flour mill to make ends meet and how she becomes a gangster following a chain of events that change her life. Directed by debutante Lalit Marathe, the film also features Manish Wadhwa, Pradeep Rawat and Zakir Hussain. Eesha had earlier worked with Varma in `Company` and delivering the hit item number `Khallas`, which earned her the moniker `Khallas-girl`. PTI
