London: A new study has revealed that nearly half of British people’s daily conversations are completely pointless.
The typical Briton has 27 conversations every day but only 43 per cent of them – or 12 chats – can be deemed “meaningful” or “important”, reports the Daily Express. The study also found the traditional pub is still a top place to go for a heart-to-heart, after our home. Geordies are the most sociable people having an average of 33 conversations every day. Chris lewis from Courage Beer brewers, Wells & young’s, which carried out the research among 3,000 adults, said: “This poll shows that we are great at everyday banter. But most of it is about every- day things like the weather." ANI
