London: A letter written by former Beatle Paul McCartney in 1960 asking a drummer to audition for the pop group will be sold in an auction.
The letter written in response to a small advertisement is expected to fetch between 7,000 and 9,000 pounds at Christie`s in London, the Daily Express reported. Other memorabilia include a fedora hat worn by Michael Jackson during his 1984 Victory tour, and a photograph of the 1985 Live Aid concert taken by Jason Fraser, who was suspended 200 feet above Wembley Stadium from a helicopter. Fraser was the only photographer allowed to capture the event from the sky and the picture, signed by some of the performing artists, has a reserve price of 3,000-5,000 pounds. IANS
