London: Former Bond girl Gemma Arterton has retained painful reminders of her work on new film `Clash of the Titans` as the vigorous fight scenes have scarred her body. The `Quantum of Solace` star insisted on performing her own stunts in the action film and described how the whole cast struggled to deal with the extreme conditions shooting on top of a mountain in Tenerife, Spain, reported Contactmusic.
"We were inside a crater in the volcano so the terrain was gravel and every time I fell over I was covered in wounds. But I loved doing my own stunts. I have scars on my knees. I`m the tough girl that falls down and screams, `Oh my God!` at the end," said Arterton. The 24-year-old actress plays demi-goddess Io in the Greek mythology, opposite Sam Worthington and Ralph Fiennes. "I remember one day when Sam and I could only do an uphill spring four times because we were so breathless. It was crazy being dressed in these skimpy outfits because in the mornings it was minus 2 Celsius," said the actress. PTI
