Bhupen Hazarika a "multifaceted" personality: Ambika Soni

New Delhi: Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni described legendary singer Bhupen Hazarika, who died today, as a "multifaceted" personality and a true exponent of national integration.

"Hazarika was a multifaceted personality who inspired millions across generation with the power of his music, voice and creativity," she said in her condolence message. Soni said Hazarika pioneered the vision of Assamese cinema on the global map. "He was a true exponent of national integration. It will be extremely difficult to fill the vacuum created by his untimely death," she said. PTI
