London: Dame Elizabeth Taylor has been forced to skip the launch of her Hollywood jewellery boutique after being inflicted with flu. The 77-year- old actress was scheduled to attend the opening of her Beverly Hills store.

A spokesman for the star informed the crowd, waiting for three hours to see her, that she could not make it due to illness, reports a news daily. Taylor had said last month that she has "outlived so many who have prematurely buried me". She even had an emergency surgery in October to fix a leaky heart valve. ANI
