Jada Pinkett slams `ridiculous` Will Smith divorce rumours

Jada Pinkett Smith has spoken out to silence the rumours that her marriage to Will Smith is on the rocks, insisting that they are happily married.

London: Jada Pinkett Smith has spoken out to silence the rumours that her marriage to Will Smith is on the rocks, insisting that they are happily married. The couple who got married in 1997 came under media scrutiny with rumours suggesting that the two were living separate lives.
On being asked why speculation of marital strife continues, the 40-year-old said she had no idea as to what prompted such rumours. “I have no idea! Every year, one celebrity couple is under the microscope,” a leading daily has quoted her as telling a French magazine. “This year, unluckily, it’s us! I almost want to say that we should have been expecting it. Will and I know the truth. We’re waiting peacefully for the storm to blow over,” she said. Jada admitted she spends a lot of time apart from 43-year-old Will, but said it has always been that way on account of their hectic lifestyles. “These rumours are completely untrue,” she said about reports of marital strife. Acknowledging they spend a lot of time apart: “I travel a lot because of my work, just like Will does... But our lifestyle hasn’t changed. Before we had the kids, we were already far away from each other quite often because of separate projects,” she said. She also denied the rumours that they were living under separate roofs. “That’s ridiculous. We’ve always lived together,” she said. ANI
