Mumbai: Debutant director Kiran Rao has been garnering a lot of attention for her new film ‘Dhobi Ghat’. The film has already won accolades at the prestigious film festivals earlier this year. So, naturally people would be curious to know as to what she is up to next. Here’s letting the cat out! According to sources, Kiran has shifted her focus to small screen. The talented lady is all set to make a film based on Indian reality shows. The inspiration is said to come from an incident which grabbed headlines recently. Kiran’s next is based upon an event that unfolded on idiot box in front of all on the prime time shows. Reportedly, she is making a film on Rakhi’s reality show ‘Rakhi Ka Insaaf’. In one of the shows, a person committed suicide for being called impotent by the hostess of the show. Going by the Kiran’s reputation of being a sensitive and a realistic filmmaker, the subject of the film seems to be quite interesting. Only time will tell, if Kiran would be able make her point through the film.
