Russell Brand meets spiritual guru ahead of wedding

London: Ahead of his wedding to Katy Perry in India, British comedian Russell Brand sought some spiritual guidance from his guru Gaudiya Vaishnava guru Radhanath Swami.

The 35-year-old actor was photographed outside NPR -National Public Radio - in Los Angeles with Radhanath Swami, a website reported. The 49-year-old guru met up with Brand as he appeared on radio to talk about his book, `The Journey Home: Autobiography of an American Swami`, which has just been published as a paper back. Radhanath Swami has been Brand`s spiritual guru for the past two years and the actor credits him for providing answers to all his questions. "He`s a beautiful fellow. He`s got the answer. I met this swami, and I said, `I`m a bit ridden with egotism and ambition...He said, `Don`t worry. It`s a gift from God. Use it in the service of God." After his meeting with Swami, Brand headed to Los Angeles to catch a flight to London to see Perry perform on ‘The X Factor’. The couple is keeping the impending nuptials a secret but reports say that they will have a lavish Indian style wedding in Jaipur later this month. PTI
