Mumbai: We all dream to make it big some day, yet thought and its execution never go hand in hand. There is a great divide between reality and aspirations and perhaps this is the message behind Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Rocket Singh – Salesman of the Year.’ Post ‘Wake Up Sid’ and ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’, Ranbir Kapoor once again sets out to conquer the heart of the audiences by his ‘Sardar’ act! ‘Rocket Singh’ is the story of all ordinary people who stand on the threshold of ever elusive success – mediocres who always struggle for break-through in life. In ‘Rocket Singh,’ Ranbir Kapoor plays the role of Harpreet Singh Bedi who is an ordinary Joe and always struggles with his studies thereby, managing borderline marks. With no option left in life, Harpreet still nurses the hope of making it big someday and joins the sales industry as it is an easy entry into the professional world without taking admissions in medical or engineering colleges. Herein stars our hero’s exciting journey into the professional world that teaches him valuable lessons of life besides offering him great insights. For a naïve Harpreet, a salesman job is a cool career move where one dresses nattily and talks smoothly. However, the aspiration of our hero nosedives when he comes face to face with reality – clashing ideas and changing equations with superiors while saving his job too! Directed by Shimit Amin of ‘Chak De India!’, ‘Rocket Singh’ is a YRF project which also stars debutant Shazahm Padamse, Sharon Prabhakar, Gauhar Khan and Prem Chopra. ‘Rocket Singh’ offers some groovy music that gels pretty well with the movie. In all, watch out the flick to know more about the journey of Rocket Singh! Ratings: Two cheers for this one!
