Leena Investments buys 1.65 lakh shares in Cinemax

Mumbai: Leena Investments Consultancy LLP on Tuesday acquired 1.65 lakh shares in multiplex chain operator, Cinemax India Ltd.

According to bulk deal data available with the NSE, Leena Investments Consultancy LLP purchased 1,65,775 shares of Cinemax India.

The shares were purchased on an average price of Rs 122.51, valuing the deal at Rs 2 crore, the data showed.

The identity of the seller(s) of the shares could not be immediately ascertained.

Last week, Reliance Media & Entertainment Fund had bought 1.6 lakh shares in multiplex chain operator for more than Rs 1 crore.

Share prices of Cinemax India have seen an average surge of over 15 percent in the last three trading sessions on the stock exchanges amid reports of takeover attempts by rivals, even though the multiplex chain said it was not aware of any such moves.

On the NSE today, shares of Cinemax India climbed nearly 10 percent to settle at Rs 129.50 apeice.
